In 2012 a group of volunteers who had a passion for youth baseball founded the Upstate Youth Baseball Association (USYBA), a Not-for-Profit group, whos main goal is to offer players the opportunity to play Summer and Fall Baseball in an environment where they will learn sportsmanship, they can grow as a team player while improving their social, life, and baseball skills.

The USYBA has a very active Board of Directors, and they hold monthly Board Meeting generally on the 1st Monday of the month, at 6:30 p.m.. Their meeting location is 800 Starbuck Ave. Bldg. A Board Room, Watertown, New York 13601.  This is next to the New York Airbrake, and across the street from P&M Construction, and the Watertown Boxing Club.

The USYBA operates in 4 counties within New York State - Jefferson, Lewis, Oswego (Oswego, Pulaski, Sandy Creek) and St. Lawrence.

In 2015 our 13-15 Babe Ruth Division had 12 teams and our 14 - 18 Wood Bat Division had 10 teams.  With each team averaging 14 players per team that is over 300 youths playing baseball in the Summer, almost every night of the week, from the end of May  - July.

The USYBA was created in a way that allows the teams to have control of the league through a voting member they designate to represent their team and community.  Each team receives one voting position on the Board of Directors.  This will ensure the league can continue to grow, and it allows each team and their respective community the opportunity be part of that growth - at the end of the day this league belongs to its players, coaches, parents and the community.
